وتنهي عن السخرية بين الرجال والنساء. وهي بمجملها لا تقبل التمييز العنصري ضد الأشخاص أو الجماعات سواء صدر هذا التمييز من الحاكم أو من المحكوم.

In recent years, the CERD Committee has examined communications concerning claims of racial discrimination against persons of Roma ethnicity in areas such as housing, freedom of movement and residence, and access to public places.

States were urged to recognize the effect of discrimination and to take appropriate measures to prevent racial discrimination against persons belonging to minorities in respect of employment, housing, social services and education and, in this context, forms of multiple discrimination should be taken into account (paras. 48 and 49).

تشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف على إتمام مراجعة قانونها الجنائي وتوسيع نطاق المادة 283 ليشمل جميع أفعال التمييز العنصري ضد الأشخاص المنتمين إلى كل المجموعات المستضعفة، بما فيها الأقليات الإثنية والمهاجرون وطالبو اللجوء والأجانب دون حصرها في النظام العام، وذلك لإنفاذ أحكام المادة 4 من الاتفاقية إنفاذاً كاملاً.
