Additionally, as reported to the General Assembly by OIOS in 2008 in its report A/63/94, there is no global approach to managing the recruitment of temporary assistance staff in the language services, as there are still no clear criteria, guidelines or standard operating procedures that could be used by all duty stations for the recruitment and management of temporary assistance staff.
