In this connection, the Committee recalls section II, paragraph 5, of General Assembly resolution 59/296, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to ensure that the purpose of the indicators of achievement was not to assess the performance of Member States but, where possible, to reflect the contributions by peacekeeping missions to the expected accomplishments and objectives in keeping with their respective mandates.
