36- ويحظى العاملون في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل بالجزء الأكبر من هذا التدريب، إذ يتم عقد برامج ودورات منها ما هو محلي، ويعقد في أكاديمية الشرطة الملكية، ومنها ما هو خارجي، حيث يتم إيفاد الضباط والأفراد إلى دول أخرى للاطلاع على تجاربها في هذا المجال والاستفادة منها.

43. Staff of reform and rehabilitation centres receive training and instruction to show them how to deal with prisoners in accordance with legal principles and professional ethics. They are also offered financial incentives to ensure that they do so.
43- يتم تأهيل العاملين في مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل وتدربيهم وتثقيفهم للتعامل مع النزلاء وفق الأصول القانونية والأخلاق الوظيفية، كما يتم تقديم حوافز مالية لهم لضمان التزامهم بهذا النهج.

The United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, the United Nations Office for Project Services and UN-Women continued to implement initiatives in support of the strengthening of the management of the Palestinian penitentiary system and the rehabilitation of inmates in reform and rehabilitation centres administered by the Palestinian Authority.

A training and development centre was established on 12 January 2008 as part of the Department of reform and rehabilitation centres. Advanced curricula on the reform process were designed and set up and specialized courses were run on guarding and dealing with prisoners, and investigating torture cases. A handbook on combating torture was produced.
- استحداث مركز للتدريب والتطوير بتاريخ 12/1/2008 يتبع إدارة مراكز الإصلاح والتأهيل حيث تم إعداد وتجهيز مناهج متطورة في مجال العمل الإصلاحي إضافة إلى عقد دورات متخصصة في مجال حراسة النزلاء والتعامل معهم وطرق التحقيق في قضايا التعذيب ووضع دليل عمل لمكافحة التعذيب.

Vocational training programmes are run in reform and rehabilitation centres providing instruction in a wide range of manual, animal husbandry and horticultural activities aimed at engaging inmates in useful paid work. The vocational Training Institute issues proficiency certificates to facilitate prisoners reintegration into society.
