The Commission encouraged members and associate members to implement General Assembly resolution 64/255 on improving global road safety; reaffirmed the importance of addressing global road safety issues; invited all member States to set their own national road traffic casualty reduction targets to be achieved by the end of the Decade and to consider providing adequate and additional funding for activities relating to the Decade.
