11. He hoped that the next report of Togo would be prepared in such a way as to raise fewer questions among the members of the Committee than the second.

36. The CHAIRMAN invited the Togolese delegation to reply to the 14 remaining questions in sections II and III of the list of issues to be taken up in connection with the consideration of the second periodic report of Togo (see M/CCPR/94/30).
٦٣- الرئيس دعا وفد توغو إلى الرد على اﻷسئلة المكتوبة البالغ عددها ٤١ والمتبقية من الفرعين الثاني والثالث من قائمة البنود الواجب تناولها بمناسبة النظر في تقرير توغو الدوري الثاني )انظر (M/CCPR/94/25.

53. The CHAIRMAN thanked the Togolese delegation for its replies and said that the Committee would continue its consideration of the second periodic report of Togo (CCPR/C/63/Add.2) at a later meeting.

71. Mr. PRADO VALLEJO, referring to question (b), suggested that the same formulation as that agreed for section II (c) of the list of issues to be taken up in connection with the report of Togo should be included.
١٧- السيد برادو فاييخو قال، مشيرا إلى السؤال )ب(، إنه يقترح إدراج نفس الصيغة المتفق عليها فيما يخص الفرع الثاني )ج( من قائمة القضايا التي ستناقش فيما يخص تقرير توغو.

19. Bearing in mind these circumstances and also the usefulness of considering the State party reports, in particular the initial ones, in the presence of a delegation from the State party, and in order to have a meaningful and constructive dialogue, the Committee decided to postpone consideration of the initial report of Togo, and to take it up at its thirty-sixth session in May 2006.
19- ومراعاة لهذه الظروف وأيضاً لأهمية النظر في تقارير الدول الأطراف، ولا سيما التقارير الأولية، بحضور وفد من الدولة الطرف المعنية، وقصد إقامة حوار ذي مغزى وبنّاء، قررت اللجنة إرجاء النظر في تقرير توغو الأوّلي، والنظر فيه في دورتها السادسة والثلاثين في أيار/مايو 2006.

Mr. ASSOUMA (Togo), replying to Mr. Aguilar Urbina concerning the compatibility between his appearance as representative of Togo and his other functions, explained that he had been Vice-President of the National Human Rights Commission since 1987, but that the second periodic report of Togo had been drafted by an inter-ministerial committee at a time when he had not yet been working in the Constitutional Chamber.
٣٣- السيد أسوما )توغو( ردّ على السيد أغيلار أوربينا بشأن حساب صفته كممثل توغو ووظائفه اﻷخرى، فأوضح أنه نائب رئيس اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق اﻹنسان منذ ٧٨٩١ ولكن تقرير توغو الدوري الثاني صاغته لجنة مشتركة بين الوزارات في الوقت الذي لم يكن فيه بعد في المجلس الدستوري.

(1) The Committee considered the initial report of Togo (CAT/C/5/Add.33) at its 709th and 712th meetings (CAT/C/SR.709 and 712), held on 10 and 11 May 2006, and adopted the following conclusions and recommendations at its 716th meeting (CAT/C/SR.716), held on 15 May 2006.

10. Mr. WENNERGREN said that his grave misgivings at the time of consideration of the initial report of Togo had been somewhat allayed by positive developments such as the establishment of the National Human Rights Commission.
١٠- السيد فينرغرين قال إن الشكوك التي ساورته في الفترة التي نُظر فيها في التقرير اﻷوﱠلي المقدم من توغو قد زالت الى حد ما بفعل التطورات الايجابية مثل إنشاء اللجنة الوطنية لحقوق الانسان.

29. The CHAIRMAN invited members to make concluding observations concerning the second periodic report of Togo.
