88. The Committee considered the second periodic report of Tunisia (CAT/C/20/Add.7) at its 358th, 359th and 363rd meetings, held on 18 and 20 November 1998 (CAT/C/SR.358, 359 and 363) and has adopted the following conclusions and recommendations:

1. The Committee considered the fourth periodic report of Tunisia (CCPR/C/84/Add.1) at its 1360th to 1362nd meetings, held on 18 and 19 October 1994, and adoptedAdopted at its 1383rd meeting (fifty-second session) on 2 November 1994. GE.94-70189 the following comments.
١- نظرت اللجنة في تقرير تونس الدوري الرابع (CCPR/C/84/Add.1) في جلساتها من ١٣٦٠ إلى ١٣٦٢ المعقودة يومي ١٨ و١٩ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٤ واعتمدت)١( التعليقات التالية.

41. Azerbaijan congratulated the delegation of Tunisia on the serious preparatory work undertaken in the preparation of the report, and noted with appreciation that the national report of Tunisia is the result of extensive consultations within the country, involving civil society, and stressed the importance of a wide consultation.
41- وهنأت أذربيجان وفد تونس على العمل التحضيري الجاد الذي أُنجز لإعداد التقرير ولاحظت مع التقدير أن تقرير تونس الوطني هو ثمرة مشاورات مستفيضة داخل البلد شارك فيها المجتمع المدني، وشددت على أهمية التشاور على نطاق واسع.
