In response to the request of the Special Rapporteur for information on any investigations into these allegations undertaken by the Government, the Government of Myanmar replied, in a note verbale dated 4 November 1994, as follows:

69. Latvia flagged the issue of standing invitations to Special Procedures and referred to the request of the Special Rapporteur on the right to food to visit Madagascar.
