It is to concluded that proportion of rest and leisure is minimal if compared to the length of the school day and sessions, that frequently require the student to sit and be silent, which is reflected negatively on the child psychological, mental, and physical development alike.
نستنتج أن حيز الراحة والترفيه خلال اليوم المدرسي يبقى ضئيلاً مقارنة بطول وعدد الحصص الدراسية، والتي غالباً ما يطلب فيها من الطفل الجلوس والصمت، وهذا ما ينعكس سلباً على نموه النفسي والعقلي والجسدي على حد سواء.

290. The Committee is concerned that - for various reasons, including the lack of spaces for recreational activities for children - children's right to rest and leisure and to engage in play and recreational activities appropriate to their age is not being fully respected.

271. Article 31 of the Convention on the Rights of the Child is concerned with the child's right to rest and leisure and his or her right to engage in play. The Government of Jordan has devoted a good deal of attention to these rights, and many governmental and non-governmental bodies have noteworthy achievements to their credit in that area.

In order to address that issue, article 1, paragraph 8, of the Constitution states that the State shall, to the extent possible, guarantee health protection, social security, the preservation of the natural environment, rest and leisure for all, including children, mothers, persons with disabilities, older workers and the elderly.
ويوضح الدستور في الفقرة الفرعية 8 من مادته الأولى أن " الدولة، حسب إمكانياتها، تكفل للجميع، ولا سيّما للطفل، والأم، والأشخاص ذوي الإعاقة، والمسنين العاملين والأشخاص المسنين، حماية الصحة، والضمان الاجتماعي، وصون البيئة الطبيعية، والراحة والترفيه " .

12. Recognizes that leisure time is an important aspect of youth wellbeing and health as well as of crime and violence prevention, and in this regard calls upon Member States to protect the right of all young people, particularly girls and young women, to rest and leisure and to enhance opportunities for the exercise of this right in a positive way;
