1 - في حالة الحاجة إلى انتخاب شخص واحد، ولم يحصل أي مرشح في الاقتراع الأول على أغلبية الأصوات المطلوبة، يجري اقتراع ثان يقتصر على المرشحين اللذين حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات.

Since no candidate has obtained the required majority, the Assembly will proceed to a second round of balloting restricted to the two candidates who were not elected but obtained the largest number of votes in the ballot.
نظرا لعدم حصول أي من المرشحين على الأغلبية المطلوبة، تشرع الجمعية العامة في إجراء اقتراع ثان يقتصر على المرشحين الاثنين اللذين لم ينتخبا لكنهما حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات في الاقتراع.

1- إذا كان المراد هو انتخاب شخص واحد أو وفد واحد ولم يحصل أي مرشح في الاقتراع الأول على أغلبية الممثلين الحاضرين والمصوِّتين، يُجرى اقتراع ثانٍ يقتصر على المرشحَيْن الحاصليْن على أكبر عدد من الأصوات.

فإذا أُجريت ثلاثة من هذه الاقتراعات غير المقيدة دون أن تسفر عن نتيجة حاسمة، تقصر الاقتراعات الثلاثة التي تليها على المرشحين اللذين حصلا على أكبر عدد من الأصوات في ثالث اقتراع غير مقيد، وتكون الاقتراعات الثلاثة التي تلي هذه غير مقيدة، وهلم جرا، حتى يتم انتخاب شخص أو عضو.

25. The President said that as one vacancy remained to be filled, a third round of voting would be held, restricted to the two candidates who had received the highest number of votes in the second round while not obtaining the required majority.
25 - الرئيس: قال إن هناك شاغرا واحدا لا يزال يتعين ملؤه، ولذلك سيتم إجراء جولة تصويت ثالثة، مقصورة على المرشحين اللذين حصلا على أعلى عدد من الأصوات وإن لم يحصلا على الأغلبية المطلوبة.
