It should be pointed out that the operation of the CIS peace-keeping force will be limited to the security zone, the Kodori valley and the coastal waters and the airspace of the restricted-weapons zone (see S/1994/529/Add.1, para. 5).

5. UNOMIG's original concept of operations was based on the Agreement on a Cease-Fire and Separation of Forces, signed in Moscow on 14 May 1994 by the Government of Georgia and the Abkhaz authorities which, inter alia, delineated a security zone, a restricted-weapons zone and designated storage areas for the military equipment withdrawn from the security and restricted-weapons zones.
