Clarification was sought on financing for the monitoring mechanism, and it was proposed that the report of the Secretary-General to the General Assembly at its sixty-ninth session on the review of the implementation of commitments made towards Africa's development should include a matrix of new commitments beyond the commitments and actions already undertaken.
وطُلِبَت توضيحات عن التمويل اللازم لآلية الرصد، واقتُرِح تضمين تقرير الأمين العام المقرر تقديمه إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها التاسعة والستين بشأن " استعراض تنفيذ الالتزامات المتعلقة بتنمية أفريقيا " مصفوفة من الالتزامات الجديدة تتجاوز الالتزامات المقطوعة والإجراءات المتخذة بالفعل.

Summary The present report is submitted pursuant to General Assembly resolution 66/293, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to present at its sixty-ninth session the first biennial report on the review of the implementation of commitments made towards Africa's development.
يقدَّم هذا التقرير عملاً بقرار الجمعية العامة 66/293 الذي طلبت فيه إلى الأمين العام أن يقدم في دورتها التاسعة والستين التقرير الأول من التقارير التي تقدم كل سنتين عن استعراض تنفيذ الالتزامات المتعلقة بتنمية أفريقيا.

The Assembly also decided to conduct a biennial review under the aegis of the Assembly in the context of its agenda item on the development of Africa, and requested the Secretary-General to submit to it at its sixty-ninth session, in October 2014, the first biennial report on the review of the implementation of commitments made towards Africa's development.
