In its resolution 53/44 of 3 December 1998, the Assembly decided to maintain the present functions and independent role of the Scientific Committee and requested it to continue at its next session the review of the important problems in the field of radiation and report thereon to the Assembly at its fifty-fourth session.
وقررت الجمعية العامة بموجب قرارها ٣٥/٤٤ المؤرخ ٣ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ٨٩٩١ أن تبقي على المهام الحالية للجنة العلمية وعلى دورها المستقل، وطلبت منها أن تواصل في دورتها التالية استعراض المشاكل الهامة في مجال اﻹشعاع وأن تقدم تقريرا عن ذلك إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الرابعة والخمسين.

٤ - تطلب أيضا الى اللجنة العلمية أن تواصل في دورتها المقبلة استعراض المشاكل الهامة في ميدان اﻹشعاع، وأن تقدم تقريرا بهذا الشأن الى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الحادية والخمسين؛

5. Also requests the Scientific Committee to continue at its next session the review of the important problems in the field of radiation and to report thereon to the General Assembly at its fiftieth session;
٥ - تطلب أيضا إلى اللجنة العلمية أن تواصل في دورتها المقبلة استعراض المشاكل الهامة في ميدان الاشعاع، وأن تقدم تقريرا بهذا الشأن إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها الخمسين؛

In its resolution 55/121 of 8 December 2000, the General Assembly reaffirmed its decision to maintain the present functions and independent role of the Scientific Committee, including its present reporting arrangements, and requested it to continue at its next session the review of the important problems in the field of ionizing radiation and to report thereon to the Assembly at its fifty-sixth session.
وفي قرار الجمعية العامة 55/121 المؤرخ 8 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2000 أكدت الجمعية من جديد مقررها بالحفاظ على المهام الحالية للجنة العلمية ودورها المستقل بما في ذلك ترتيبات الإبلاغ الحالية وطلبت من اللجنة أن تواصل في دورتها القادمة استعراض المشاكل الهامة في مجال الإشعاع المؤيّن وأن تقدم تقريرا عن ذلك إلى الجمعية العامة في دورتها السادسة والخمسين.
