At this juncture of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) and of the achievements and constraints since Cairo, the priority areas identified in the Caribbean plan of action continue to be of critical importance for the Caribbean Community.

OHCHR co-hosted with the Government of the Netherlands and the United Nations Population Fund an international conference on human rights in the context of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development beyond 2014, which focused on sexual and reproductive health and rights and its intersection with gender equality, as well as broader population and development issues.
واشتركت المفوضية مع حكومة هولندا وصندوق الأمم المتحدة للسكان في استضافة مؤتمر دولي بشأن حقوق الإنسان في سياق استعراض المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية إلى ما بعد عام 2014، وركز المؤتمر على الصحة والحقوق الجنسية والإنجابية وارتباطهما بتحقيق المساواة بين الجنسين، فضلا عن قضايا السكان والتنمية الأعم.

The summary stressed that the human rights of individuals should be at the centre of development processes and the centrality of sexual and reproductive health in the development agenda, together with the fact that participants called for the results of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development beyond 2014 to be integrated into the post-2015 development agenda.

24. Ms. Hall (United States of America) said that the five-year review of the International Conference on Population and Development was an important priority for her Government.

The Office of Internal Oversight Services also observed that the Division's proposed budget for the biennium 2004-2005 showed that there had been a shift of focus towards the 10-year review of the International Conference on Population and Development and an increase in extrabudgetary resources allocated to it, primarily through bilateral contributions.
كما لاحظ المكتب أن ميزانية الشعبة المقترحة لفترة السنتين 2004-2005 بينت أنه حدث تحوُّل في التركيز باتجاه استعراض المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية بعد مرور عشر سنوات على انعقاده وزيادة الموارد الخارجة عن الميزانية المخصصة له، وذلك بالأساس من خلال المساهمات الثنائية.

The first session of the Regional Conference on Population and Development in Latin America and Caribbean, held in the context of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development and its follow-up beyond 2014 in the region, was held in Montevideo from 12 to 15 August 2013.
٥٩ - وعُقدت في مونتيفيديو، في الفترة من 12 إلى 15 آب/أغسطس 2013، الدورة الأولى للمؤتمر الإقليمي المعني بالسكان والتنمية في أمريكا اللاتينية ومنطقة البحر الكاريبي، الذي نُظِّم في سياق استعراض المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية ومتابعته في المنطقة الإقليمية إلى ما بعد عام 2014.

25. The first regional conference on population and development for the Latin America and Caribbean region, held in the context of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development and its follow-up beyond 2014 in the region, was hosted by the Government of Uruguay in Montevideo from 12 to 15 August 2013.

Regional cooperation to implement the Programme of Action was highlighted, with many countries expressing support for the outcomes of regional population conferences held in the context of the 20-year review of the International Conference on Population and Development (see A/69/62).

In July, together with UNFPA and the Government of the Netherlands, OHCHR co-organized an international conference on human rights in the context of the review of the International Conference on Population and Development: beyond 2014, in which participants urged that human rights be placed at the centre of efforts to deliver on implementation of the agenda of the International Conference.

Requests the Executive Director to present a midterm review of the UNFPA strategic plan, 2014-2017 to the Executive Board at its annual session of 2016; and, in this regard, take into consideration the results of the discussions of the discussions of the United Nations post-2015 development agenda as well as the review of the International Conference on Population and Development.
٢١ - يطلب إلى المدير التنفيذي أن يقدم إلى المجلس التنفيذي في دورته السنوية لعام 2016 استعراضا لمنتصف المدة للخطة الاستراتيجية للصندوق للفترة 2014-2017، وأن يأخذ في الاعتبار في هذا الصدد نتائج المناقشات التي جرت بشأن خطة الأمم المتحدة للتنمية لما بعد عام 2015، فضلا عن استعراض المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية.

Now it stands at almost 200 million.1 The five-year review of the International Conference on Population and Development recognized the particular health needs of migrants, urging Governments in both home and destination countries to " provide effective protection for migrants provide basic health and social services, including sexual and reproductive health and family planning " (A/S-21/2/Add.2).
وقد أقر استعراض المؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية بعد خمس سنوات(1) بالاحتياجات الخاصة للمهاجرين في مجال الصحة، وحث الحكومات في البلدان الأصلية وفي بلدان المقصد على ' ' توفير الحماية الفعالة لهم وتقديم الخدمات الصحية والاجتماعية، بما في ذلك خدمات الصحة الجنسية والإنجابية وتنظيم الأسرة " (A/S-21/2/Add.2).
