The present report summarizes the steps undertaken by the High-level Committee on Management of the Executive Board in compliance with the request of the General Assembly and outlines the revised cost-sharing arrangements and governance mechanisms agreed upon by the organizations participating in the United Nations security management system.
ويوجز هذا التقرير الخطوات التي اتخذتها اللجنة الإدارية الرفيعة المستوى التابعة لمجلس الرؤساء التنفيذيين امتثالا لطلب الجمعية العامة، ويوضح الترتيبات المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف وآليات الإدارة التي وافقت عليها المنظمات المشاركة في نظام إدارة الأمن التابع للأمم المتحدة.

For the reasons explained in paragraphs 9 to 12, and as shown in table 1, of that report, the Secretary-General estimates that, should the General Assembly agree to the revised cost-sharing formula approved by the Pension Board, there will be a decrease of $625,400 in the net regular budget of the United Nations.

10. In its resolution 53/210 of 18 December 1998, the General Assembly approved revised cost-sharing arrangements between the United Nations and the Fund.
١٠ - وقد وافقت الجمعيــة العامة فــي قرارها ٥٣/٢١٠ المؤرخ ١٨ كانــون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٨ على الترتيبات المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف بين اﻷمم المتحدة والصندوق.

The increase of $24,100 is the result of a delay in the application of the revised cost-sharing percentage to the full amount of the gross budget after recosting in the 2004-2005 biennium.
وقد نجمت الزيادة البالغة 100 24 دولار عن تأخر تطبيق النسبة المئوية المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف على المبلغ الإجمالي للميزانية الكاملة بعد إعادة تقدير تكاليف فترة السنتين 2004-2005.

The increase of $81,500 is attributable to a delay in the application of the revised cost-sharing percentage to the full amount of the gross budget after recosting in the 2004-2005 biennium.

20. As shown in paragraph 166 of the Board’s report, the increase in the administrative cost of the Fund under the revised cost-sharing formula between the United Nations and the Fund would amount to $730,800, as from 1 January 1999.
٢٠ - وكما هو مبين في الفقرة ١٦٦ من تقرير المجلس، فإن الزيادة في التكاليف اﻹدارية للصندوق في إطار الصيغة المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف بين اﻷمم المتحدة والصندوق سوف تصل إلى ٨٠٠ ٧٣٠ دولار، اعتبارا من ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩.

The Advisory Committee notes that this increase reflects the combined effect of the delayed impact of four new posts approved for the biennium 2004-2005 and a delay in the application of the revised cost-sharing percentage to the full amount of the budget of the CEB secretariat after the re-apportionment in 2004-2005.

Subsequently, the Secretary-General outlined the revised cost-sharing arrangements and the shares of the participating organizations in the cost of the United Nations security management system (A/62/641).
وحدّد الأمين العام فيما بعد الترتيبات المنقحة لتقاسم التكاليف وحصص المنظمات المُشارِكة من تكاليف نظام إدارة الأمن في الأمم المتحدة (A/62/641).

23. The Advisory Committee recalls that, under the revised cost-sharing formula between the United Nations and the Fund, the expected additional costs to be borne by the Fund amounted to $730,800 for the biennium 1998-1999 (A/53/511, para. 20).
