Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico) (spoke in Spanish): The Government of Mexico welcomes the President's initiative to convene this meeting, which provides us an opportunity to underscore the importance of collective efforts to address climate change and its effects.

5. Ms. Rovirosa (Mexico), speaking on behalf of the Rio Group, said that the impact on the poorest countries of declines in capital flows, commodity prices and remittances made a cross-cutting approach to all six areas of the Monterrey Consensus all the more important.
