Ms. Sahli replied that the Working Group was a bridge between the United Nations and the international community that encouraged both to take long-term action in favour of people of African descent and to strengthen cooperation among different actors.

74. Ms. Sahli also mentioned the importance of identifying a common platform for people of African descent to convince States to revise legislation and constitutions in order to establish appropriate measures of affirmative action.
