Declaration on the Use of scientific and technological progress in the Interests of Peace and for the Benefit of Mankind

97. The Declaration on the Use of scientific and technological progress in the Interests of Peace and for the Benefit of Mankind contains the following provisions:
٧٩- ويتضمن اﻹعلان الخاص باستخدام التقدم العلمي والتكنولوجي لصالح السلم وخير البشرية اﻷحكام التالية:

We call upon all Member States to ensure the application of scientific and technological progress in the framework of international security, disarmament and other related fields, without detriment to the environment or to the effective contribution of such progress to attaining sustainable development.
وإننا نطلب إلى جميع الدول الأعضاء ضمان تطبيق التقدم العلمي والتكنولوجي في إطار الأمن الدولي ونزع السلاح والمسائل الأخرى ذات الصلة، دون الإساءة إلى البيئة أو إلى الإسهام الفعال لهذا التقدم في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة.

The Dominican Republic established a State Secretariat on the Environment which, among other measures, clearly demonstrates the country's commitment to ensuring the application of scientific and technological progress in the framework of international security, disarmament and other related spheres, as well as in the domestic sphere, without detriment to the protection of the environment as it relates to sustainable development.
أنشأت الجمهورية الدومينيكية وزارة دولة لشؤون البيئة، وذلك ضمن تدابير أخرى تعرب عن التزام البلد الواضح بتطبيق أوجه التقدم العلمي والتكنولوجي في ميدان الأمن الدولي ونزع السلاح وغير ذلك من المجالات ذات الصلة، إلى جانب الميدان الداخلي، وذلك دون الإضرار بحماية البيـئة وعلاقتها بالتنمية المستدامة.

COPUOS should play a greater role in promoting international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space, strengthening the international legal order in space, stimulating scientific and technological progress in the developing countries and helping them to share in the spin-off benefits of space technology.
فينبغي للجنة أن تلعب دورا أكبر في تعزيز التعاون الدولي في استخدام الفضاء الخارجي في اﻷغراض السلمية، وترسيخ دعائم نظام قانوني دولي في الفضاء، وحفز التقدم العلمي والتكنولوجي في البلدان النامية، وفي مد يد المساعدة اليها في الاستفادة من الفوائد العرضية للتكنولوجيا الفضائية.

٩ - تطلب إلى الدول أن تتخذ تدابير انفرادية وثنائية وإقليمية ومتعددة اﻷطراف تسهم في كفالة تطبيق أوجه التقدم العلمي والتكنولوجي في إطار اﻷمن الدولي ونزع السلاح وسائر المجالات ذات الصلة، دون اﻹضرار بالبيئة أو المساس بمساهمتها الفعﱠالة في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة؛
