The delegation of Belarus therefore strongly urged the scientists and experts of the Member States represented on the Scientific Committee to cooperate and work together with the scientists and radiological specialists of Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine in researching the medical and environmental consequences of the radiation resulting from the Chernobyl accident.
