In his report, the Secretary-General further informed the Security Council that, on 22 October, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO had written to him expressing his concerns over certain developments in Western Sahara, in particular the signing of contracts by Morocco with two foreign oil companies for offshore oil reconnaissance.
19 - كما أبلغ الأمين العام في تقريره مجلس الأمن بأن الأمين العام لجبهة البوليساريو قد وجه إليه رسالة في 22 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر أعرب فيها عن قلقه إزاء تطورات معينة حدثت مؤخرا في الصحراء الغربية، ولا سيما قيام المغرب بتوقيع عقود مع شركتي نفط أجنبيتين للاستكشاف عن وجود نفط قبالة شواطئ الصحراء الغربية.

28. Also during this period, on 22 October, in a message addressed to the Secretary-General, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO expressed his concerns over certain recent developments in Western Sahara, in particular the signing of contracts by Morocco with two foreign oil companies for offshore oil reconnaissance in Western Sahara.

On 22 October, in a message addressed to me, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO expressed his concerns over certain recent developments in Western Sahara, in particular the signing of contracts by Morocco with two foreign oil companies for offshore oil reconnaissance in Western Sahara.
31 - في 22 تشرين الأول/أكتوبر، وفي رسالة موجهة إلي، أعرب الأمين العام لجبهة البوليساريو عن أوجه القلق التي تساوره إزاء تطورات معينة حصلت مؤخرا في الصحراء الغربية، ولا سيما قيام المغرب بتوقيع عقود مع شركتي نفط أجنبيتين للاستكشاف عن وجود نفط قبالة شواطئ الصحراء الغربية.

4. In the Tindouf area, on 9 April, my Personal Envoy met with the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO, Mohamed Abdelaziz, the Frente POLISARIO Coordinator with MINURSO, M'hamed Khaddad, the Frente POLISARIO representatives in New York and in Washington, Ahmed Bukhari and Moulud Said, and other senior members of the Frente POLISARIO.

60. During the period under review, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO wrote to me on a number of occasions mainly to express concern about alleged violations of human rights affecting Saharans both in the Territory and within Morocco.

15. As a follow up to the February 2010 informal meeting, the Personal Envoy undertook a visit to the region from 17 to 25 March during which he was received by the King of Morocco, the Heads of State of Mauritania and Algeria, as well as the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO.
15 - وعلى سبيل متابعة الاجتماع غير الرسمي المعقود في شباط/فبراير 2010، قام المبعوث الشخصي بزيارة إلى المنطقة في الفترة من 17 إلى 25 آذار/مارس استقبله خلالها عاهل المغرب ورئيسا دولتي موريتانيا والجزائر وكذلك الأمين العام لجبهة البوليساريو.

15. During the period under review, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO wrote to the Secretary-General of the United Nations on a number of occasions mainly to express concern about alleged violations of human rights affecting Saharans both in the Territory and within Morocco.

49. During the period under review, the Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO wrote me on a number of occasions to express concern about alleged violations of the human rights of Western Saharans in the Territory, including the use of disproportionate force by the Moroccan police to disperse peaceful demonstrators, forcible searches of private residences, unlawful detentions, and the mistreatment and abuse of detainees.

35. The Secretary-General of the Frente POLISARIO pledged full support for the Settlement Plan but expressed his concern over the delays to the referendum, caused in particular by the large number of appeals from the first provisional voters' list issued on 15 July 1999 and the prospects of possible additional appeals from the second list, which was expected to be released in January 2000.
