There will remain a need for choice of law guidance to varying degrees on the law applicable to questions that arise at the intersection of secured transactions and the neighbouring areas.

Moreover, the Working Group agreed to propose to the Commission that the mandate be given to the Working Group to develop a model law on secured transactions and that the topic of security rights in non-intermediated securities should be retained on its future work agenda and be considered at a future session (A/CN.9/743, para. 76).
