The Commission expressed its appreciation to Mr. Sekolec for his outstanding contribution to the process of unification and harmonization of international trade law in general and to UNCITRAL in particular.

It was widely recognized that the time during which Mr. Sekolec had served as Secretary of the Commission had been a most productive one and that the secretariat of the Commission under the leadership of Mr. Sekolec had made an excellent contribution to that work despite the limited resources available to it.
