With regard to criminal responsibility, this Code stipulates that a child under seven years of age who commits an act constituting an offence is not liable to criminal prosecution. If the act is committed by a child over 7 but under 15 years of age, instead of the prescribed penalty the judge can impose only one of the measures provided for in the Juveniles Act.
حددت مواد هذا القانون مسؤولية الصغير كما يلي: لا يسأل جزائياً من لم يكن قد بلغ السابعة من عمره وقت ارتكاب الفعل المكّون للجريمة، وإذا ارتكب الفعل حدث أتم السابعة ولم يبلغ ٥١ سنة أمر القاضي بدلاً من العقوبة المقررة بتوقيع أحد التدابير المنصوص عليها في قانون اﻷحداث.

It is thus clear that no child under seven years of age is held criminally responsible. If the child is over 7 but under 15 years of age, the precautionary measures stipulated in the Juveniles Act are applied.
وبذلك يتضح أن الطفل لا يسأل جزائياً قبل سن السابعة وإذا بلغ سن السابعة ولم يتجاوز الخامسة عشرة تتخذ في حقه التدابير الاحترازية المنصوص عليها في قانون الأحداث.
