On the other hand, Article 24 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights stated that " Every child has the right to acquire a nationality " , while Article 15, paragraph 2, of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights stated that " No one shall be arbitrarily deprived of his nationality " .
