They argue that P.L. used racist and degrading stereotypes, going as far as stating that criminality was a key characteristic of Sinti and Roma.
ويقولون إنه استعمل صوراً نمطية عنصرية ومهينة، وذهب إلى حد القول بأن الإجرام سمة أساسية من سمات السنتي والروما.

The approval of such public statements carries the danger that other police officers adopt a similar attitude against Sinti and Roma.
وتنطوي الموافقة على هذه التصريحات العلنية على خطر تبنّي ضباط آخرين في الشرطة لموقف مماثل تجاه السنتي والروما.

Lastly, a section is devoted to the situation of the Roma/Sinti/travellers in eastern Europe, and especially Bulgaria.

The State party should also strengthen its efforts to integrate members of the Sinti and Roma communities in Germany by firmly promoting their access to education, housing, employment and health care.

Two exhibitions were mounted to mark the occasion, one on the Roma and Sinti peoples and another featuring artwork of Holocaust survivors.

The Central Council of German Sinti and Roma has been informed of the report of the Bavarian Data Protection Commissioner of 16 December 1998 which states that Sinti and Roma are being registered generally on special police files without reason or legal basis by their personal details and even the number plates of their cars and further data.
