وتشير ديباجة اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة، إلى " أن تحقيق المساواة الكاملة بين الرجل والمرأة يتطلب إحداث تغيير في الدور التقليدي للرجل وكذلك في دور المرأة في المجتمع والأسرة " .

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women affirms that " a change in the traditional role of men as well as the role of women in society and in the family is needed to achieve full equality between men and women " (preamble, 14th para).
وتؤكد اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضد المرأة أن " تحقيق المساواة الكاملة بين الرجل والمرأة يتطلب إحداث تغيير في الدور التقليدي للرجل وكذلك في دور المرأة في المجتمع والأسرة " (الديباجة، الفقرة 14).
