The two delegations exchanged views on conservation measures affecting the fisheries of the South-West Atlantic.

Let me start by expressing how satisfied I am that the Argentine and British Governments have managed to reach an understanding on hydrocarbons in the South-West Atlantic.

The Commission endorsed draft conservation management plans for right whales in the South-West Atlantic and in the south-east Pacific and expressed grave concern about the right whale population in the western North Atlantic.
وأقرت اللجنة مشاريع خطط لإدارة أنشطة الحفاظ على الحيتان الحقَّة في جنوب غرب المحيط الأطلسي وفي جنوب شرق المحيط الهادئ وأعربت عن قلقها البالغ بشأن فئة الحيتان الحقَّة في شمال غرب المحيط الأطلسي.

The United Kingdom remains interested in cooperating with Argentina on measures to ensure the effective conservation of the living marine resources in the South-West Atlantic.
وما زالت المملكة المتحدة مهتمة بالتعاون مع اﻷرجنتين بشأن التدابير اللازمة لضمان حفظ الموارد البحرية الحية بصورة فعالة في جنوب غربي المحيط اﻷطلسي.

They agreed to pursue arrangements for an oil sector mission to the region to consider areas of cooperation in the development of hydrocarbons in the South-West Atlantic.
واتفقا على مواصلة وضع الترتيبات اللازمة ﻹيفاد بعثة في قطاع النفط إلى المنطقة لبحث مجالات التعاون في استغلال المواد الهيدروكربونية في منطقة جنوب غربي المحيط اﻷطلسي.

Furthermore, it declares once again its intention to continue to move forward with the dialogue with the United Kingdom with the aim of building a relationship of mutual trust and reaching new understandings in the South-West Atlantic.
وباﻹضافة الى ذلك، تعلن حكومة اﻷرجنتين من جديد أنها تعتزم أن تمضي قدما في الحوار مع المملكة المتحدة، بغية بناء علاقة تقوم على الثقة المتبادلة والتوصل الى أوجه تفاهم جديدة في جنوب غربي المحيط اﻷطلسي.

٣٢ - عقدت لجنة المواد الهيدركربونية لجنوب غرب المحيط اﻷطلسي اجتماعها السادس في لندن في ١٠ كانون اﻷول/ ديسمبر ١٩٩٩.
