He also provides support and assistance, as requested, to the International Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia and to the Special Rapporteur and the expert in charge of the special process on missing persons of the Commission on Human Rights.

During the mission, I urged all authorities concerned to offer their full support to the ICRC and to the Commission's expert dealing with the special process on missing persons, in order to create conditions for determining the whereabouts of these missing persons.
وقد قمت، أثناء بعثتي، بحث جميع السلطات المعنية على تقديم تعاونها الكامل مع لجنة الصليب اﻷحمر الدولية وإلى خبير لجنة حقوق اﻹنسان الذي يتناول العملية الخاصة المتعلقة باﻷشخاص المفقودين، من أجل تهيئة اﻷوضاع التي تسمح بتحديد أماكن وجود هؤلاء اﻷشخاص المفقودين.

3. At the same session the expert member of the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances in charge of the special process on missing persons in the former Yugoslavia, Mr. Manfred Nowak, resigned, and the mandate for the expert's activities was terminated.
٣- وفي الدورة نفسها، قام العضو الخبير في الفريق العامل المعني بحالات الاختفاء القسري أو غير الطوعي المسؤول عن العملية الخاصة المتعلقة باﻷشخاص المفقودين في يوغوسلافيا السابقة، السيد مانفرد نوفاك، بتقديم استقالته، وأُنهيت الولاية المتعلقة بأنشطة الخبير.

Field missions were also undertaken by the Representative of the Secretary-General on internally displaced persons to Colombia, to Burundi and to Rwanda; by the Working Group on Arbitrary Detention to Bhutan and to Viet Nam; and by one member of the Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances to the former Yugoslavia, regarding the special process on missing persons in the territory of the former Yugoslavia.
