In its resolution 1998/82, the Commission decided to extend the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year and requested him to report to the General Assembly at its fifty—third session and to the Commission at its fifty—fifth session.

By decision 1998/272, the Council, taking note of Commission on Human Rights resolution 1998/79, endorsed the Commission’s decision to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year and to request the Special Rapporteur to report to the Commission at its fifty-fifth session and to present interim reports to the General Assembly at its fifty-third session.

On 27 March, the Human Rights Council passed resolution 10/27 on the situation of human rights in Myanmar, in which, inter alia, it extended the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year.

In its resolution 1998/71, the Commission decided to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year and requested him to submit to the Commission at its fifty—fifth session a report stressing, in particular, recommendations on technical assistance needs of Equatorial Guinea in the fields of human rights and democracy.

In its resolution 2000/26, the Commission decided to renew the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year and requested him to report to the Commission at its fifty-seventh session on the work conducted in fulfilment of the mandate and to submit an interim report to the General Assembly at its fifty-fifth session.

16. On 21 March 2013, the Human Rights Council adopted, without a vote, resolution 22/13, in which it extended the mandate of the Special Rapporteur for one year and established, also for one year, a commission of inquiry comprising three members, one of whom should be the Special Rapporteur, with the other two members appointed by the President of the Council.
