وتعرب اللجنة أيضا عن ارتياحها لدخول الدولة الطرف في حوار صريح وبنّاء مع اللجنة، وبخاصة النهج الذي يتسم بالنقد الذاتي والصريح الذي اتبعته الدولة الطرف في تقريرها وكذلك أثناء الحوار مع اللجنة.

The Committee notes the assertion of the State party in its report that the report was drawn up using a participatory approach which involved civil society.
19- تلاحظ اللجنة تأكيد الدولة الطرف في تقريرها أن التقرير قد أُعد بواسطة نهج تشاركي شمل المجتمع المدني.

The Committee recommends that the State party incorporate into its legislation a definition of racial discrimination reflecting article 1 of the Convention - in particular in the bill on racial discrimination, as indicated by the State party in its report.
توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف بأن تدرج في تشريعاتها تعريفاً للتمييز العنصري يتمشى مع المادة 1 من الاتفاقية، خاصة في مشروع القانون المتعلق بالتمييز العنصري، على النحو المذكور في تقرير الدولة الطرف.

435. With respect to the right to education, the Committee notes with concern that, as mentioned by the State party in its report to CEDAW, there is no legal requirement that children attend school.
٥٣٤- وفيما يتعلق بالحق في التعليم، تلاحظ اللجنة بقلق أنه كما ذكرت الدولة الطرف في تقريرها إلى اللجنة المعنية بالقضاء على التمييز ضد المرأة، ليس هناك أي اشتراط قانوني يقتضي التحاق اﻷطفال بالمدارس.

(c) There are weaknesses in family planning assistance to adolescents, related to the inadequacy of staff and suitable premises and equipment, as indicated by the State party in its report.
(ج) أن هناك جوانب ضعف في المساعدة المقدمة في إطار تنظيم الأسرة للمراهقات تتصل بعدم كفاية الموظفين وقلة المرافق والمعدات المناسبة، حسبما ذكرت الدولة الطرف في تقريرها.

The Committee recommends that the State party in its report provide information as to which measures it has taken to effectively implement the Convention in its national legal system.
٥٨٣ - توصي اللجنة بأن تقدم الدولة الطرف في تقريرها معلومات عما اتخذته من إجراءات لتنفيذ الاتفاقية في نظامها القانوني الوطني على نحو فعال.

111. The Committee welcomes the guarantee of freedom of expression under article 22 of the Constitution, but recognizes that there is a vacuum in the legislative acts on the practical ways to implement this right for children, as noted by the State party in its report.
111- ترحب اللجنة بضمان حرية التعبير بموجب المادة 22 من الدستور، إلا أنها تعترف بوجود فراغ في التشريعات القانونية بشأن السبل العملية لإعمال حق الأطفال هذا، كما لاحظت الدولة الطرف في تقريرها.

Lastly, she wished to know the delegation's views as to whether the position presented by the State party in its report and its replies to the list of issues was sufficient to satisfy its obligations under article 25 of the Convention.
20- وأخيراً، قالت السيدة جانينا إنها تودّ معرفة آراء الوفد بشأن مدى كفاية الموقف الذي عرضته الدولة الطرف في تقريرها وفي ردودها على قائمة المسائل للوفاء بالتزاماتها بموجب المادة 25 من الاتفاقية.

27. The Committee is concerned about the lack of information about the extent of the phenomenon of trafficking in women in the country, despite the acknowledgement on the part of the State party, in its report, that it was a country of origin, transit and destination of victims of trafficking.
27- تعرب اللجنة عن قلقها إزاء نقص المعلومات عن حجم ظاهرة الاتجار بالنساء في البلد بالرغم من اعتراف الدولة الطرف في تقريرها بأن جنوب أفريقيا بلد منشأ ومعبر ومقصد لضحايا الاتجار.

Data collection 20. The Committee welcomes recent improvements in the State party's data collection system as well as the data provided by the State party in its report and written replies in some areas covered by Convention.
20- ترحب اللجنة بالتحسينات الأخيرة التي أدخلتها الدولة الطرف على نظام جمع المعلومات وكذلك بالبيانات التي قدمتها الدولة الطرف في تقريرها والردود الكتابية في بعض المجالات التي تشملها الاتفاقية.

They noted that Iceland had followed the Committee's guidelines on the preparation of periodic reports (CERD/C/70/Rev.3) and they welcomed the demographic information and tables supplied by the State party in its report.
ولاحظوا أن ايسلندا اتبعت المبادئ التوجيهية للجنة فيما يتعلق بإعداد التقارير الدورية )CERD/C/70/Rev.3( ورحبوا بالمعلومات الديمغرافية والجداول التي قدمتها الدولة الطرف في تقريرها.

The Committee is deeply concerned by the fact, as confirmed by the State party in its report, that " prison facilities are overcrowded and that many inmates are subject to unhealthy living conditions " .
