Furthermore, in connection with the length of statements, with a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as a cost-saving measure, the General Committee draws the attention of the Assembly, as it did at recent sessions, to rules 72 and 114 of the rules of procedure and paragraph 22 of annex VI thereto for appropriate action in plenary meeting and the Main Committees.

26. With a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure, the General Committee recommends to the General Assembly that it review the recommendations contained in paragraph 22 of the annex to resolution 51/241 and paragraph 23 of document A/52/855, regarding the length of statements.
26 - وبغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف، يوصي المكتب الجمعية العامة باستعراض التوصيات الواردة في الفقرة 22 من مرفق القرار 51/241 والفقرة 23 من الوثيقة A/52/855 بشأن طول البيانات.

24. The General Committee also recommends to the General Assembly that it review the recommendations contained in paragraph 22 of the annex to resolution 51/241 and paragraph 23 of document A/52/855, regarding the length of statements with a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure.
24 - ويوصي المكتب الجمعية العامة أيضا بأن تستعرض التوصيات الواردة في الفقرة 22 من مرفق القرار 51/241 والفقرة 23 من الوثيقة A/52/855، المتعلقة بطول البيانات وذلك بغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف.

25. With a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure, the General Committee may wish to recommend to the General Assembly that it review the recommendations contained in paragraph 22 of the annex to resolution 51/241 and paragraph 23 of document A/52/855, regarding the length of statements.
25 - وبغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف، قد يود المكتب أن يوصي الجمعية العامة باستعراض التوصيات الواردة في الفقرة 22 من مرفق القرار 51/241 والفقرة 23 من الوثيقة A/52/855 بشأن طول البيانات.

18. The General Committee also recommends to the General Assembly that it review the recommendations contained in paragraph 22 of the annex to resolution 51/241 and paragraph 23 of document A/52/855, regarding the length of statements with a view to streamlining the procedures of the General Assembly and as another cost-saving measure.
18 - ويوصي المكتب الجمعية العامة أيضا بأن تستعرض التوصيات الواردة في الفقرة 22 من مرفق القرار 51/241 والفقرة 23 من الوثيقة A/52/855، المتعلقة بطول البيانات وذلك بغية تبسيط إجراءات الجمعية العامة وكتدبير آخر للاقتصاد في التكاليف.
