Mr. FULCI (Italy) welcomed the adoption by the Special Committee of the draft declaration on the enhancement of cooperation between the United Nations and regional arrangements or agencies in the maintenance of international peace and security (A/AC.182/L.72/Rev.2), especially since recent international events had shown the need to strengthen such cooperation, while preserving sufficient flexibility to take specific situations into account.
