70. In accordance with General Assembly resolution 61/256 on strengthening of the capacity of the Organization in peacekeeping operations, it was important to evaluate the progress of the realignment process.

In that regard, his delegation welcomed the adoption of General Assembly resolution 61/256 on strengthening of the capacity of the Organization on peacekeeping operations, and looked forward to receiving a comprehensive report on functions, budgetary discipline and financial implications.
