(a) The appropriation and assessment of the amount of $14,530,000 gross ($13,917,400 net) for the period from 1 July 1997 to 15 March 1998, subject to extension of the UNSMIH mandate by the Security Council;

(b) To apportion among Member States the amount of $80,096,775, that sum being the balance of the appropriation that has not yet been apportioned ($53,000,000) and the balance of the amount earlier apportioned subject to extension of the mandate of UNTAET but not assessed ($27,096,775);

95. The General Assembly is requested to approve the budgets for the political missions listed in table 2 for the period up to December 2003 and to note that the charging of expenditures against the appropriation would be subject to extension of their respective mandates by the Security Council.
95 - يُطلب إلى الجمعية العامة أن توافق على ميزانيات البعثات السياسية الواردة في الجدول 2 للفترة الممتدة إلى غاية كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2003، وأن تلاحظ أن خصم النفقات من الاعتمادات سيكون رهنا بتمديد مجلس الأمن ولاية كل منها.

For other operations, it was proposed that approval should be sought for the mandate period, together with monthly commitment authority for a further period of up to six months, subject to extension of the mandate by the Security Council; each operation's budget would be reviewed twice a year, but the timing of the cost estimates for 12 months would be synchronized with the General Assembly's annual budget review.

Mr. TAKASU (Controller) said that the General Assembly, in its resolution 49/247, had authorized the Secretary-General to enter into commitments with respect to MINURSO at a monthly rate not to exceed $5.59 million and to assess that amount on Member States subject to extension of the mandate.
١٤٤ - السيد تاكاسو )المراقب المالي(: قال إن الجمعية العامة أذنت في قرارها ٤٩/٢٤٧ لﻷمين العام بالدخــول في التزامــات فيما يتصل ببعثة اﻷمم المتحدة للاستفتاء في الصحراء الغربية بمعدل شهري لا يتجاوز ٥,٥٩ من ملايين الدولارات وبتقسيم هذا المبلغ كأنصبة مقررة على الدول اﻷعضاء رهنا بتمديد ولاية البعثة.

3. As indicated in section V.A of the Secretary-General’s report (A/53/779/Add.1), total resources made available to the Observer Force, from its inception to 30 June 1999, amount to $1,236.6 million gross, subject to extension of the mandate of UNDOF beyond 31 May 1999.
٣ - وكما هو مبين في الفرع خامسا - ألف من تقرير اﻷمين العام (A/53/779/Add.1)، فإن إجمالي الموارد التي تم توفيرها لقوة المراقبة منذ إنشائها حتى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٩ يبلغ ١ ٢٣٦,٦مليون دولار، رهنا بتمديد ولاية القوة بعد ٣١ أيار/ مايو ١٩٩٩.

54. Taking into account the comments and observations in the above paragraphs, the Advisory Committee recommends that the General Assembly appropriate the amount of $147,403,400 gross for the maintenance of UNMIBH during the period from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997, to be assessed at a monthly rate of $12,283,600 gross, subject to extension of the mandate of UNMIBH by the Security Council.
٥٤ - وإذ تأخذ اللجنة الاستشارية في الحسبان التعليقات والملاحظات الواردة في الفقرات السابقة أعلاه، فإنها توصي بأن تعتمد الجمعية العامة مبلغا إجماليه ٤٠٠ ٤٠٣ ١٤٧ دولار من أجل مواصلة بعثة اﻷمم المتحدة في البوسنة والهرسك للفترة من ١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٦ إلى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٧ على أن يُقسم هذا المبلغ بمعدل شهري إجماليه ٦٠٠ ٢٨٣ ١٢ دولار، رهنا بتمديد مجلس اﻷمن لولاية البعثة.

64. Taking into account the comments and observations in the above paragraphs, the Advisory Committee recommends that the General Assembly appropriate the amount of $51,327,500 gross for the maintenance of UNPREDEP during the period from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997, to be assessed at a monthly rate of $4,277,300 gross, subject to extension of the mandate of UNPREDEP by the Security Council.
٦٤ - وإذ تأخذ اللجنة الاستشارية في الحسبان التعليقات والملاحظات الواردة في الفقرات السابقة أعلاه، فإنها توصي بأن تعتمد الجمعية العامة مبلغا إجماليه ٥٠٠ ٣٢٧ ٥١ دولار لمواصلة قوة اﻷمم المتحدة للانتشار الوقائي للفترة من ١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٦ إلى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٧ على أن يُقسم هذا المبلغ بمعدل شهري إجماليه ٣٠٠ ٢٧٧ ٤ دولار رهنا بتمديد مجلس اﻷمن لولاية القوة.

41. As set out in paragraph 38 of the report, the General Assembly was being asked to approve the amount of $44.1 million gross for the maintenance of the Force for the period from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997 which included the voluntary contributions of the Governments of Cyprus and of Greece, and to appropriate an amount of $23,595,100 gross for the period 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997, subject to extension of the Force by the Security Council.

The action to be taken by the General Assembly is set out in paragraph 44 of the present report and include the appropriation of an amount of $18,449,400 gross ($17,462,700 net) and the assessment thereof at the monthly rate of $1,537,450 gross ($1,455,225 net), subject to extension of the mandate of the Observer Mission by the Security Council beyond 31 July 1998.

15. Decides to authorize the Secretary-General to enter into commitments for the operation of the Mission for the period after 30 September 1995 at a monthly rate not to exceed 5,592,500 dollars gross (5,096,100 dollars net), this amount to be assessed on Member States in accordance with the scheme set out in the present resolution, subject to extension of the mandate of the Mission by the Security Council beyond 30 September 1995;
