The Special Committee underlines the fact that security sector reform is a nationally owned process and that the engagement of the United Nations in providing assistance for security sector reform through peacekeeping missions should be undertaken at the request of the host country, and that such assistance should be rooted in its particular needs and conditions.
138 - وتؤكد اللجنة الخاصة أن إصلاح قطاع الأمن هو عملية تخضع للسيطرة الوطنية وينبغي أن تأتي مشاركة الأمم المتحدة في تقديم المساعدة في مجال إصلاح قطاع الأمن من خلال بعثات حفظ السلام بناء على طلب البلد المضيف، وأن تستند هذه المساعدة أساسا إلى الاحتياجات والظروف الخاصة للبلد المعني.
