A report issued subsequently by the Commonwealth Secretariat covered such issues as straddling and highly migratory fish stock management in the south-eastern Atlantic and international and regional fisheries management organizations that dealt with such fish stocks.

Namibia attaches great importance to the entry into force of the Agreement for the Implementation of the Provisions of the Convention on the Law of the Sea relating to the Conservation and Management of Straddling Fish Stocks and Highly Migratory Fish Stocks, which has the objective of ensuring the long-term conservation and sustainable use of such fish stocks.
وتعلِّق ناميبيا أهمية كبرى على تنفيذ اتفاق تنفيذ أحكام اتفاقية قانون البحار بشأن حفظ وإدارة الأرصدة السمكية المتداخلة المناطق والأرصدة السمكية الكثيرة الارتحال، وترمي هذه الاتفاقية إلى ضمان الحفظ الطويل الأمد والاستخدام المستدام لتلك الأرصدة السمكية.
