Accordingly, the General Assembly will be required to appoint, at its current session, a person to fill the unexpired portion of the term of office of Mr. Takahara, that is, until 31 December 2004.
ووفقا لذلك سيكون على الجمعية العامة أن تعين في دورتها الحالية شخصا يشغل الجزء المتبقي من مدة عضوية السيد تاكاهارا التي تنتهي في 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2004.

21. Mr. Takahara (Japan) said that his delegation had always attached great importance to the Development Account and was grateful to the representative of Bangladesh for having coordinated the negotiations on the item and achieved a positive outcome.
٢١ - السيد تاكاهارا )اليابان(: قال إن بلده يولي منذ البداية أهمية كبرى لتنفيذ حساب التنمية، وتبعا لذلك أعرب عن امتنانه للسيد كبير الذي أسفرت جهوده في تنسيق المفاوضات عن نتائج إيجابية.

11. Mr. Takahara (Japan) said that his delegation shared the view expressed at the 55th meeting by the representative of Guyana, speaking on behalf of the Group of 77 and China, that the Committee should devote adequate time to the Development Account in order to conclude its consideration of the issue.

5. Mr. Takahara (Japan) also welcomed the adoption of draft resolution A/C.5/54/L.4 by consensus, but regretted the fact that it had taken two weeks to attain that outcome.
