29. By its decision 1/COP.5, the COP decided to establish a committee for the review of the implementation of the Convention as a subsidiary body of the COP to assist it in regularly reviewing the implementation of the Convention, and to adopt the terms of reference of the CRIC as contained in the annex to that decision.
29- وقد قرر مؤتمر الأطراف، بموجب مقرره 1/م أ-5، أن يُنشئ لجنة لاستعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية تعمل بوصفها هيئة فرعية تابعة لـه لمساعدته في استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية بانتظام، وأن يعتمد اختصاصات هذه اللجنة كما وردت في مرفق ذلك المقرر.

5. As in the case of documentation prepared for the two-year costed draft work programme of the CRIC, the deliberations at CRIC 7 on the format for future CRIC sessions will assist the secretariat in preparing appropriate documentation on the terms of reference of the CRIC for COP 9.
5- وكما في حالة الوثائق التي جرى إعدادها لبرنامج عمل لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية المحدد التكاليف لفترة السنتين، فإن المداولات في الدورة السابعة للجنة بشأن دوراتها المقبلة تساعد الأمانة في إعداد الوثائق الملائمة المتعلقة باختصاصات اللجنة للدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف.
