Similarly, we call on Israel, the only State in the Middle East that has not yet acceded to the NPT and that possesses nuclear weapons, to stop flouting international law and relevant resolutions and appeals, to heed the calls of the international community to immediately accede to the Treaty, to dismantle its nuclear stockpiles and to subject all of its nuclear installations to the comprehensive safeguards regime of the IAEA.
وفي هذا السياق نطالب إسرائيل، الدولة الوحيدة في الشرق الأوسط التي لم تنضم إلى معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، والوحيدة التي تمتلك أسلحة نووية، متحدية بذلك قرارات الشرعية الدولية والنداءات الدولية المتكررة، أن تنضم فورا إلى المعاهدة، وأن تتخلص من ترسانتها النووية، وأن تخضع جميع منشآتها النووية لنظام الضمانات التابع للوكالة.

Unfortunately, although for decades now it has striven to achieve that objective, the Middle East is far from that goal. Unfortunately, Israel, the only State that possesses nuclear weapons in the region, has, to date, refused to place its nuclear programme under IAEA safeguards and has disregarded all appeals by the international community to comply.
وتأسيساً على ذلك، فإننا نشعر بالقلق لأن منطقة الشرق الأوسط لا تزال بعيدة عن تحقيق هذا الهدف، ومنذ عقود خلت نظراً لاعتراض إسرائيل الدولة الوحيدة التي تمتلك السلاح النووي في هذه المنطقة، وامتناعها عن إخضاع برامجها النووية لنظام الرقابة الشاملة من قِبَل الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية، وتجاهلها لمناشدات المجتمع الدولي ودعواته المتكررة في هذا الشأن.

In that context, we demand that Israel, the only country in the region that has not joined the NPT and that possesses nuclear weapons, in flagrant defiance of the resolutions of international legitimacy, accede immediately to the Treaty, dispose of its nuclear arsenals and subject its nuclear facilities to the safeguards system of the IAEA.
وفي هذا السياق، نطالب إسرائيل، الدولة الوحيدة في الشرق الأوسط التي لم تنضم إلى معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، والوحيدة التي تمتلك أسلحة نووية، متحدية بذلك قرارات الشرعية الدولية والنداءات الدولية المتكررة، إلى أن تنضم فورا إلى المعاهدة، وأن تتخلص من ترسانتها النووية، وأن تخضع جميع منشآتها النووية لنظام الضمانات التابع للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.

In that context, we demand that Israel -- the only country in the Middle East that is not party to the nonproliferation Treaty and that possesses nuclear weapons, in defiance of the decisions of international law and repeated international calls to accede immediately to the Treaty -- dismantle its nuclear arsenal and subject all its nuclear facilities to the IAEA safeguards regime.
وفي هذا السياق، نطالب إسرائيل، الدولة الوحيدة في الشرق الأوسط، التي لم تنضم إلى معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية، والوحيدة التي تمتلك أسلحة نووية متحدية بذلك قرارات الشرعية الدولية والنداءات الدولية المتكررة، بأن تنضم فورا إلى المعاهدة وأن تتخلص من ترسانتها النووية وأن تخضع كافة منشآتها النووية لنظام الضمانات التابع للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.

The Syrian Arab Republic remains of the view that intensive efforts must be made to establish and implement such a mechanism, in order to draw the international community's attention to the fact that Israel is the only country in the region that possesses a nuclear military arsenal and refuses to accede to the NPT and to subject all its installations to international inspection under the IAEA comprehensive safeguards system.
إن الجمهورية العربية السورية لا زالت ترى أنه يجب العمل بشكل جاد لوضع وتنفيذ تلك الآلية بهدف لفت نظر المجتمع الدولي إلى أن إسرائيل هي الوحيدة في المنطقة التي تمتلك ترسانة عسكرية نووية، وهي ترفض الانضمام إلى معاهدة عدم انتشار الأسلحة النووية NPT، وكذلك ترفض إخضاع جميع منشآتها للتفتيش الدولي التابع لنظام الضمانات الشاملة للوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية.
