The General Assembly, in its resolution 66/171, reaffirmed that States must ensure that any measure taken to combat terrorism complies with their obligations under international law, in particular human rights, refugee and humanitarian law, and called upon States countering terrorism to fully comply with their obligations under international law.
أكدت الجمعية العامة من جديد في قرارها 66/171 وجوب أن تكفل الدول الأعضاء توافق أي تدابير تتخذها لمكافحة الإرهاب مع الالتزامات المترتبة عليها بموجب القانون الدولي، ولا سيما القانون الدولي لحقوق الإنسان والقانون الدولي للاجئين والقانون الدولي الإنساني، وحثت الدول التي تكافح الإرهاب على التقيد التام بالالتزامات المترتبة عليها بموجب القانون الدولي.
