These are some of the reasons that inspired my delegation to support the draft resolution contained in document A/C.1/50/L.3, in which the General Assembly would reaffirm that the cessation of all nuclear testing will contribute to the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons and provide a favourable climate for the conclusion of negotiations on a comprehensive nuclear-test-ban treaty.
