At the eighth session (2006) of the Working Group on the working methods and activities of transnational corporations of the Sub-Commission on the Promotion and Protection of Human Rights, the Centre helped to draft the document entitled " The role of the State in the guarantee of human rights with reference to the activities of transnational corporations and other business entities " .

Under item 2 of the agenda, two experts presented working papers on the issue of bilateral and multilateral economic agreements and their impact on human rights of the beneficiaries and on the issue of the role of the State in the guarantee of human rights with reference to the activities of transnational corporations and other business entities.
