فالتمديد غير المحدود لمعاهدة عدم انتشار اﻷسلحة النووية، وإبرام معاهدة الحظــــر الشامل للتجارب النووية، ودخول اتفاقية اﻷسلحة الكيميائية حيز النفاذ، والنهاية الناجحة لمؤتمر أوسلو، واعتماد نص اتفاقية تحظر اﻷلغام اﻷرضية المضادة لﻷفراد، هي حقا إنجازات هامة.

In connection with the forthcoming Review Conference of the States Parties to the Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to Be Excessively Injurious or To Have Indiscriminate Effects (CCW), my country is ready to support the successful course of work and the adoption of the text of Protocol IV, which would enable the effective implementation of the Convention.

In conclusion, I avail myself of this opportunity to assure the Assembly that the Government of the Republic of Korea will continue to make its contribution towards creating a nuclear-weapon-free world and thus looks forward to the adoption of the text of the CTBT and its opening for signature at the earliest possible date.
وفي الختام، أغتنم هذه الفرصة ﻷؤكد للجمعية أن حكومة جمهورية كوريا ستواصل مساهمتها من أجل خلق عالم خال من اﻷسلحة النووية وتتطلع بالتالي إلى اعتماد نص معاهدة الحظر الشامل للتجارب وفتح باب التوقيع عليها في أقرب موعد ممكن.
