It should also be noted that while, in many cases, cooperation between other regional commissions and the regional and subregional organizations in their respective regions has been institutionalized through the signing of appropriate agreements or memorandums of understanding, such institutionalization appears to be lacking in the case of ECA and the African regional and subregional organizations.
