16. In the above-mentioned resolution, the General Assembly recognized the improvements made in the functioning of the Unit, encouraged the Unit to continue its efforts in that respect and endorsed the system of follow-up to the reports of the Unit, as contained in annex I to the annual report of the Unit for the period from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997.
16 - وفي القرار سالف الذكر، أشادت الجمعية العامة بالتحسينات التي أدخلت على أداء الوحدة، وشجعتها على مواصلة بذل جهودها في هذا الصدد، وأقرت نظام متابعة تقارير الوحدة، بصيغته الواردة في المرفق الأول من التقرير السنوي للوحدة للفترة من 1 تموز/يوليه 1996 إلى 30 حزيران/يونيه 1997.

2. Endorses the observations and recommendations on the operation of the Joint Inspection Unit contained in the annual report of the Unit for the period from 1 July 1994 to 30 June 1995, subject to the provisions of the present resolution, without prejudice to its consideration of the thematic reports of the Unit;
٢ - تؤيد الملاحظات والتوصيات المتعلقة بعمل وحدة التفتيش المشتركة والواردة في التقرير السنوي للوحدة عن الفترة من ١ تموز/يوليه ٤٩٩١ إلى ٠٣ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٥، رهنا بأحكام هذا القرار، ودون المساس بنظرها في التقارير الموضوعية للوحدة؛

2. Endorses the observations and recommendations on the operation of the Unit contained in the annual report of the Unit for the period from 1 July 1994 to 30 June 1995, subject to the provisions of the present resolution, without prejudice to its consideration of the thematic reports of the Unit;
٢ - تؤيد الملاحظات والتوصيات المتعلقة بعمل الوحدة والواردة في التقرير السنوي للوحدة عن الفترة من ١ تموز/يوليه ٤٩٩١ إلى ٠٣ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٥، رهنا بأحكام هذا القرار، ودون المساس بنظرها في التقارير الموضوعية للوحدة؛

4. Endorses the system of follow-up to the reports of the Unit, as contained in annex I to the annual report of the Unit for the period from 1 July 1996 to 30 June 1997,2 and, in this connection, invites the Unit:
٤ - تقر نظام متابعة تقارير الوحدة، بصيغته الواردة في المرفق اﻷول من التقرير السنوي للوحدة للفترة من ١ تموز/يوليه ١٩٩٦ إلى ٣٠ حزيران/يونيه ١٩٩٧)٢(، وتدعو الوحدة، في هذا الصدد، إلى:

72. The Joint Inspection Unit was also represented at several formal and informal consultations of the Fourth and Fifth Committees and the Advisory Committee on Administrative and Budgetary Questions to discuss the annual report of the Unit, the programme of work and the budget requirements.
72 - وكانت الوحدة ممثلة أيضا في عدة مشاورات رسمية وغير رسمية للجنتين الرابعة والخامسة واللجنة الاستشارية لشؤون الإدارة والميزانية في إطار مناقشة التقرير السنوي للوحدة وبرنامج عملها والاحتياجات المتعلقة بالميزانية.
