- بعد استماعه إلى عرض كلٍ من رئيس اللجنة الوزارية العربية المعنية بالوضع في سورية والأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية حول التحرك السياسي العربي ومداولات مجلس الأمن في جلسته المنعقدة بتاريخ 31 كانون الثاني/يناير 2012 حول التطورات الخطيرة في سورية،

It also requested the Chair of the Arab Ministerial Committee on the Situation in Syria and the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States to brief the Security Council in support of the League's Plan of Action, which they did on 31 January 2012.
وطلب القرار أيضا إلى رئيس اللجنة الوزارية العربية المعنية بالحالة في سوريا والأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية إحاطة مجلس الأمن علماً دعماً لخطة عمل الجامعة العربية وهو ما قاما به في 31 كانون الثاني/يناير 2012.

7. To charge the Arab Ministerial Committee on the Arab Peace Initiative to conduct an evaluation and review of the Arab strategy and action plan in the light of the progress of efforts to revive the peace process, and to submit recommendations, including a review of the various options, to a special meeting of the Council of the League of Arab States at ministerial level for adoption of future Arab measures in the light thereof.

And in implementation of the agreement concluded by the Lebanese parties in Beirut on 15 May 2008 under the auspices of the Arab Ministerial Committee, which is an integral part of this declaration (annexed);
