السيد أبو الغيط (مصر): أتوجه بالشكر إلى السفير مارتن أنجابا المندوب الدائم لناميبيا على العرض الذي قدمه لنا في بداية نظر الجمعية العامة في تقرير مجلس الأمن.

14. As regards implementation of paragraph 7 of the annex to resolution 51/241, the President of the General Assembly, after consideration by the Assembly of the report of the Secretary-General on the work of the Organization, shall inform the Assembly of his assessment of the debate on the report in order for the Assembly to determine the need for further action.
14 - وفيما يتعلق بتنفيذ الفقرة 7 من مرفق القرار 51/241، يقوم رئيس الجمعية العامة، بعد أن تنظر الجمعية العامة في تقرير الأمين العام عن أعمال المنظمة، بإحاطة الجمعية العامة علما بتقييمه للمناقشة التي دارت بشأن التقرير لكي تقرر الحاجة إلى اتخاذ المزيد من الإجراءات.

In the coming years, my delegation looks forward to a more substantive consideration by the Assembly of the report of the Council, not necessarily of the whole report but at least of certain issues addressed in it.
ويتطلع وفدي إلى أن يستمر في السنوات المقبلة إجراء مزيد من البحث الموضوعي في الجمعية في تقرير المجلس، وليس بالضرورة في التقرير برمته بل على الأقل في قضايا معينة يتناولها.
