٥٦ - ينبغي للحكومات أن تتخذ، وفقا لبرنامج العمل، إجراءات فعالة لكفالة الحق اﻷساسي لجميع اﻷزواج واﻷفراد في أن يقرروا بحرية ومسؤولية عدد أطفالهم، والتباعد بين الولادات وموعدها، وفي أن يحصلوا على المعلومات والتثقيف بهذا الشأن والوسائل التي تمكنهم من ذلك.
