In its resolution 59/230, the General Assembly also urged the United Nations system and the international community to continue to assist the countries of the Caribbean region in the implementation of their long-term programmes of disaster prevention, preparedness, mitigation, management, relief and recovery.
وفي القرار 59/230، حثت الجمعية العامة أيضا منظومة الأمم المتحدة والمجتمع الدولي على مواصلة تقديم المساعدة لبلدان منطقة البحر الكاريبي في تنفيذ برامجها الطويلة الأمد في مجالات اتقاء الكوارث، والتأهب لها، والتخفيف من أثرها، وإدارتها، والإغاثة والانتعاش منها.

Urges the United Nations system and the international community to continue to provide aid and assistance to the Caribbean region in the implementation of long-term programmes of disaster prevention, preparedness, mitigation, management, relief and recovery, based on their development priorities, through the integration of relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction into a comprehensive approach to sustainable development;
