No matter which indicator is used for measuring technological capabilities, there is a strong sense that there is an important technological gap between developed and developing countries, and particularly in the case of LDCs , and that this gap widens with time as a result of rapid technological advances in developed countries and the relatively slow advances in most developing countries.
